In the land of Quang Nam, once a fiery war, there were countless people who silently contributed and sacrificed.
There was the humorous and witty mother Xoai, who was not afraid to remove hundreds of bombs but was shy in front of the camera lenses of journalists. There was the steadfast grandmother who stayed in the village to the end to fight the enemy but was also willing to sacrifice her ancestral land for the cause of building her homeland. There was the old war invalid who traveled everywhere to find his daughter’s grave, and saw many tombstones with his daughter’s name. And there was the mother of Sau La Hai, the commune team leader Nam… who had many achievements but chose to live a quiet life unknown to anyone…
Poet THANH QUE Real name: Phan Thanh Que Born in 1945 in Phu Yen. Former editor of the Central Central Liberation Army newspaper, editor of the Army Literature and Arts magazine, deputy general secretary of the Da Nang Literature and Arts Association, member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Writers’ Association.
Awards: • Second prize of the Children’s Literature Committee of the Vietnam Writers’ Association and the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (1981) with the novel Sand Burning. • Second prize of the National Committee of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations (1994) with the poetry collection Borrowed Months. • First A Prize for Literature in 10 Years (1975-1985) and second (1985-1995) by the People’s Committee of Quang Nam – Da Nang Province. Nhà thơ THANH QUẾ
Tên thật: Phan Thanh Quế
Sinh năm 1945 tại Phú Yên. Nguyên biên tập viên báo Quân giải phóng Trung Trung Bộ, biên tập viên tạp chí Văn nghệ quân đội, phó tổng thư kí Hội Văn nghệ Đà Nẵng, Ủy viên ban chấp hành Hội Nhà văn Việt Nam.
Giải thưởng:
• Giải nhì Ban văn học Thiếu nhi Hội Nhà văn Việt Nam và Trung ương Đoàn TNCS Hồ Chí Minh (1981) với tiểu thuyết Cát cháy.
• Giải nhì Ủy ban Toàn quốc Liên hiệp các Hội VHNT Việt Nam (1994) với tập thơ Những tháng năm vay mượn.
• Giải A văn học 10 năm lần thứ nhất (1975-1985) và lần thứ hai (1985-1995) của Ủy ban Nhân dân tỉnh Quảng Nam – Đà Nẵng.
