Phan Van Dang Secondary and High School, Vinh Long province, Vietnam

About Phan Van Dang Secondary and High School

Newly established in August 2020 with modern facilities, Phan Van Dang Secondary and High School stands as a beacon of educational excellence in Hamlet 8, Tan An Luong Commune, Vung Liem District, Vinh Long Province. This comprehensive educational institution serves 1,395 students across both secondary and high school levels, representing one of the region’s most ambitious educational endeavors in Vietnam’s fertile Mekong Delta.

The school community consists of 1,395 students distributed across 35 classes. With 83 dedicated management staff, teachers, and employees, the school maintains a strong commitment to providing quality education despite facing significant challenges in educational resources. While only 36 students (3%) come from economically disadvantaged families, the school’s mission extends beyond socioeconomic boundaries to ensure every student has access to comprehensive learning materials that support their academic journey from grades 6 through 12.

Location of Phan Van Dang Secondary and High School

Despite modern facilities, the school’s library faces significant resource gaps that limit the students’ learning potential. There are currently 3,445 books available (2.5 books per student) with a severe shortage of reference books for both secondary and high school levels. The reading materials are outdated for grades 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, and 12, there is an insufficient encyclopedia collection, and there are very limited life skills books, education materials (only 37 books), and age-appropriate recreational reading.

The school is looking to add 498 books to their library. Join us in building a comprehensive library that matches our modern facilities and serves our students’ diverse educational needs. Together, we can ensure that every student at Phan Van Dang Secondary and High School has access to the books and resources they need to succeed.
